An exorsist by the name of Allen Walker. European 19th century is when and where. The Black order, a band of Exorcists with connections to the vatican. A goul with the nasty intention of destroying the world, (we say destroy, he says cleanse it of humans) by flooding it, like noah did. HIs name, is the Millenium earl. An exorcist, is a very SPECIAL person, Wikipedia discribes their abilities as: " innocence, a divine substance created in the ages past to combat the Earl Minions, The Akima." Apparently, these "Akuma people have 109 units of their innocence in this world. Innocence finds compatible match, BINGO, Akuma killing machine. This Allen Walker dude meets more of his kind and the rest is history. Speaking of history, lets get into the history of this manga and Anime ourselves shall we?
It was started on May 31, 2004. in the Weekly Shonen Jump, by Katsuhiro Hoshino. As Japan knows it, 9 volumes have been published as of November 2006.
Then, on October 3rd of 2006, Osamu Nabeshima started the anime up. TMS entertainment folks, now ya know. 11 episodes have been aired up to now.
