Not so long ago, (1983) Akira Toriyama, pics up his pencil and a few papers and begins on an idea called:Dragon BAll.
Little did he know it was son enough to be one of the largest franchises ever created.
Dragon Ball tells the story of a little boy with a big apetite, (and big power) on his quest to find the seven Dragon BAlls, for when he finds them he will be able to call upon the Dragon Shenron to grant him a wish, many friends are obtained along the way, the first collection of Dragon Balls ends up going to one of them to have a thong to put his head in...
Not so long after the first few were published, it went on the air, the episodes bieng aired only fractions of time after the books were bieng published... this applied large amounts of pressure to Mr. Toriyama, but he in the end decided that he wanted to continue on any way...
In 1985, the Dragon Ball series was ended, only a few shows left to be aired... But the story of Dragon Ball did'nt end, a cliffhanger is what it was, a cliffhanger that lead to something pretty incredible, the segment 2 of the series began, Dragon Ball Z...
Dragon Ball, in the beginig was a comedy , but with every battle it got more serious, and Dragon Ball Z was VERY SERIOUS.
Dragon Ball had ended with little over 100 episodes, and 3 films, in 1985. Dragon Ball Z ended with nearly 300 episodes and 13 movies in 1995.English dubbing of these series was a disaster, and no company to this day has ever completed full dubbing of the series, even now in 2006.
The Books did end along with the series. But Dragon Ball didn't want to leave the world just yet, Some 65 more episodes were released as Dragon Ball GT, they had 1 movie. This hhowever, having not been written in Books by MR.Toriyama first, was a disgrace to end Dragon Ball with...
